Name: Steel Town – Ginger Slap

Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Heavy ginger. Pulpy, candied raspberry. Some apples with hints of citrus.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity and carbonation. Pulpy orange and raspberry are quickly obvious. Ginger spiciness. Some unfiltered apples here.
After Taste: Raspberry slowly weakens, with orange holding strong. Ginger becomes stronger and very dominant, lingering awhile.
On ice: Carbonation reduces. Fruit flavours remain the same. Ginger slightly weakens.

Additional Notes:  Steel Town’s Ginger Slap is a very flavour forward experience, blending juicy fruits and spicy ginger. Initially, you get a burst of orange and raspberry, with some mild apple. It becomes very ginger-forward into the aftertaste, and the spiciness from the ginger lingers. Not as sour as some of Steel Town’s other offerings. The orange comes across pulpy and remains throughout.  The raspberry being natural and earthy, though only makes a short initial appearance. The apples are minimal in this – it’s more about the adjuncts.
