Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma, Crisp apple. Tart and plump raspberry with a touch of citrus. Some floral.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Upfront is a semi-sharp apple that is quickly overtaken by a tart raspberry with a bunch of lemon and tea notes. A little floral from the hibiscus.
After Taste: Apple dissipates leaving a long lasting, tea presence. Raspberry lingers a long time with some citrus notes.
On Ice: A bit thinner, not much change.
Additional Notes: The Shale Ridge Raspberry Rosé is an update to their Raspberry Lemon Verbena (2023), as it shifts the focus to more raspberry, with a bit of lemon. A number of elements happening, with tart raspberry, tea mouthfeel, highlights of citrus and a touch of floral from the hibiscus. Some acidity but quite clean (minimal fermentation notes). Aftertaste is drier with syrupy raspberry elements.
