Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Tart blackberry. Sharp apple notes (including green apple). Fruity effervescent.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Tart, dry, unripe blackberry. Apple notes – including granny smith-like notes. Minerality. Concord grape note.
After Taste: Blackberries become a bit softer, and a bit sweeter. Mostly berry-focused here. Mild honey notes emerges once the fruit elements dwindle.
On ice: Reduced carbonation. More blackberry-focused.
Additional Notes: Niagara Cider’s Blackberry Honey is a dry, slightly blackberry-forward over crisp apple offering. Blackberries taste a bit underipe, but tart and dry. Decently crisp, we assume that is mostly from the apple base – which we found seems to have some green apple flavours to it. It becomes more blackberry-focused as it goes on, with the honey only really making an appearance in the finish.
