Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Woodsy, earthy notes. Pulpy and peel apple notes.
Initial Taste: No bite. Medley of apple notes, that are bright, bitter sharp and with some tannins. Mostly clean, smooth body and taste.
After Taste: Apple evolves and slightly dissipates. Becomes more wine-like with earthy and woodsy notes. Ends decently dry but doesn’t linger too long. Light nutty hints.
On ice: Body and flavour become thinner and watered down.
Additional Notes: Maelstrom’s Still Cider seems to be very inspired by the wines they make, drinking similar to a white wine, especially in aftertaste. Mostly dry tasting, it features a medley of various apple notes, tannins and characteristics; as well as unique flavour notes found throughout, including nutty and woodsy notes. Ice waters down the body and flavours, so it is not recommended. Seems like it would be higher than the 6% it is.
