Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Rich, thick, pulpy, freshly pressed raspberry jam. A sniff of bright apple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. A quick raspberry forward experience. Tart, juicy, pulpy raspberries that are very natural. Fleshy apples are secondary. Some natural fruit sweetness.
After Taste: Mostly raspberry here, and it’s very jammy tasting. Raspberry seed notes. Lingering fruit notes. Some minerality.
On ice: Only a bit thinner on ice. Slightly watered down.
Additional Notes: Joli Rouge’s Framboise is a very raspberry forward cider that dominates most of the profile from start to finish. Not a balanced cider between fruits, but the raspberry is very authentic – tastes tart, jammy and like you can almost taste the seeds. When the apple base is noticeable, it’s dry, and fleshy. Some unique minerality notes that peak through. A touch of natural fruit sweetness, but runs more dry.
