Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Candied mild black cherry. Earthy light blueberry. Dank and tonic notes with a hint of dessert apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Medicinal cherry. Tonic note forward. Generic berry notes.
After Taste: Light dessert apples peak through. More blueberries become obvious but rather earthy. Remains candied and long lingering with some grittiness.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and mouthfeel. Tonic notes seem more amplified.
Additional Notes: East Street’s Aprés Blueberry Black Cherry cider seltzer definitely leans more on the seltzer side than a cider. Tonic note heavy, it has a thin mouthfeel and is not juicy as a result. The black cherry comes across as medicinal and candied. The blueberry is more obvious near the finish, with some mild dessert apples. A very light and somewhat dank offering for a spritzer to consume and not a standard cider experience so don’t expect it.
