Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Smooth, sweet crisp and bright apples, slight acidity.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Slightly naturally sweet with a burst of juicy apple. Some flesh and peel notes. Slightly earthy but still overall pretty clean. Generic floral elements from the apple.
After Taste: Apple flesh dissipates leaving more skin elements in the aftertaste as a dank and slightly nutty aftertaste takes over.
On ice: Stripped a lot of the apple, more wine-like.
Additional Notes: Chudleigh’s 100% Silken Cider is a single varietal that highlights the soft blend of flesh and earthy peel. Holding a lot of the characteristics of the apple, it has a little fermentation element in the end and a bit of dankness. Hints of honey with this white-flesh apple are noticeable.
