Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Light aroma. Herbs and licorice. Dessert apples.
Initial Taste: Mild bite. Quick, earthy licorice and juniper – almost pungent. Savoury herbs. Bright apple base thats dry, semi-caramelized.
After Taste: As harsher botanicals slowly weaken, coriander nuances comes through. Apples are more fleshy at this point, with a hint of tannins and peel. Muddled, earthy finish with botanicals lingering a bit.
On ice: Botanicals less bold but still very present. Shorter flavour journey.

Additional Notes:  Brickworks’ Wild Botanical Cider is a unique and bold botanical cider that may be more earthy and herby than you’d expect/be used to. Heavy on the licorice and juniper upfront, its a bit harsh and maybe even pungent; herby and earthy regardless of your palate. The botanicals do become smoother though, and coriander makes an appearance in the finish. The apple base is dry but bright, semi-caramelized – and it helps to buffer some of the bolder botanicals.
