Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Cellared, earthy and slightly pulpy apple. Some astringency.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Followed by earthy and pulpy dry but bright apple notes. Some acidity and fermentation notes. Effervescent.
After Taste: Apple flavour reduced with more fermentation elements, becoming drier and then cleaning out, leaving little residual taste.
On ice: Heavily reduced carbonation, smoother and flavour
Additional Notes: An original offering from Fieldbird Cider, the 2018 Sing Song is a dry, pulpy and earthy cider that’s easy to consume. A lot of elements with these bright apples, and one of the more crisp offerings. Complex but not confusing for the palate. Remember to let it breathe a bit as it does foam greatly when poured – even though it’s not overly carbonated when consumed.
