Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Earthy, mixed apple notes. Flesh and peel. Some funk/dankness.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. A quick but short acidity hit, with a slight bitterness. Dry, earthy, natural apple notes come out – some peel, some flesh (and creaminess). A crisp body and flavour.
After Taste:  A mixture of varietal notes define themselves – yellow, red and green aspects noticeable here. Remains crisp, and semi-sharp. Lingering peel notes, as the creamy body washes out.
On ice: Makes apple notes less definable – more generic. Less acidity + bitterness.

Additional Notes: Dirty Dog’s Snow Traditional Dry Cider is a single varietal cider with a longstanding Quebec-originating variety – also known as a Fameuse. It starts off with a quick hit of acidity and some bitterness, leading to a wide range of apple characteristics following – surprising because its only 1 type of apple used here. We get notes of green, red and golden apples all here. It’s a dry cider, with no significant sweetness. You get the peel adding some crispness and the flesh adding some creaminess. A crisp cider, it tastes almost without alcohol and freshly pressed.
