Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy and sharp apple. Some acidic notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Semi-bright and semi-sharp blend of apples, with a touch of tannin and a bit more acidity. Slightly floral, clean and uplifting.
After Taste: A bit more fermentation elements than upfront, with a long lasting aftertaste. Somewhat dry, with a touch of astringency.
On ice: Dramatically watered down. Less bold flavours.
Additional Notes: The Woodfolk Meadowlands 2024 vintage is multi-variety balanced and bright blend of semi-sharp fleshy apples – with some tannin and a bit of natural acidity. Decently dry but still bright. Quite clean upfront, it gains a bit of non-apple character., like light floral aspects. Lots of carbonation upfront (and when freshly poured), so make sure it’s sitting upright before opening. On ice, it dramatically affects the experience – we do not recommend it. Its sort of a goldlilocks cider, decently balanced and not too bold or intense any direction.
