Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Cellared, mature, baked apple. Touch of funk.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. A blend of mature, bruised and baked bittersharp and bittersweet apples. Tannic grip. Complex, with layers. Cellared and woody aspects. Apricot note.
After Taste: Citrus and baking spice hints. Apples become drier, smoother. Long lingering cellaring mustiness and some aged apples stay too.
On ice: Lighter body and reduced flavor elements. Tannins less gripping.

Additional Notes: Victoria Cider Co’s Keeved Cider is as close as you could get to an export from Normandy, France, in our opinion. It featured a complex blend of mature bittersharps and bittersweets, that have obviously been aged – they taste very cellared. Amongst the dry, tannic apple notes, you’ll also find citrus, apricot and spice notes. A long lingering apple and cellaring/fermentation note presence.
