Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy apple. Herby lavender.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Sweet apples. Infused sweet lavender that is balanced with the apple. Minor floral and perfume aspects. A soft, creaminess to the base.
After Taste: Lavender intertwines with apples well here. Becomes a softer profile overall. Minor lingering lavender aspects.
On ice: Lavender seems more focused on ice – a bit less apple.
Additional Notes: The Sappho by Two Blokes is a celebration cider for the Lesbian community, named after the legendary queer poet, Sappho. A lavender cider, it is very well balanced, and does not taste pungent or too heavy like some other lavender ciders on the market. As it goes along, it becomes better intertwined with the sweet, soft, pulpy apples. A hint of floral aspects but not too fragrant for the palate. Does lean a bit sweeter overall, but naturally so from the apples it seems. Ice seems to draw out some more lavender notes, so add some ice cubes if you like that flavour.
