Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Red apple peel. Slight berry/cherry aspect. Yeasty + minerality.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation, but a sharp acidity. Tangy red flesh apples, with some crabapple tannin. Slightly earthy with some floral notes.
After Taste: A mild sour cranberry note comes through. Rich Geneva notes remain, with a softer red apple note emerging. Clean finish, with sourness last element to reduce.
On ice: Reduced intensity, shorter flavour experience.
Additional Notes: Two Bloke’s Root & Bloom Rosé cider is a proper traditional rosé cider made with red fleshed apples only. It’s definitely on the acidic and tart/sour/tangy side, especially upfront. Made with Geneva crabapples and Red Heart varietals, the crabapple tannic and sour notes are dominant upfront, with the softer red varietal notes in the finish. You get minor floral, cranberry and cherry notes also. It’s a very peel-focused cider, it adds a lot of flavour and mouthfeel.
