Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Funky, tannic apple. Some astringency.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Cloudy unfiltered apples. Flesh and peel. Some funk, a hint of sourness. A decent amount of tannins but not gripping. Wild-like notes.
After Taste: Apple becomes creamier, more flesh-oriented. Citrus-like hints. Clean finish. Some fermentation lingers.
On ice: Tannins and sourness reduced. Tastes more fleshy, and creamy.
Additional Notes: Two Blokes’ 10,000 Hours is a Porter’s Perfection single varietal cider, which is a UK bittersharp cider apple. It has some serious English cider vibes (the apple originates in Somerset) but it’s not too bold, rather decently easy to consume. A good presence of tannins that aren’t too gripping on the palate, some sourness and funkiness also. A lot of apple characteristics, flesh, peel and wild-like notes too. Becomes creamier as it goes on, for a rather clean finish.
