Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Bright, candied strawberry. Sweet lemonade. Whipped cream.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Freshly pressed tasting forward strawberry juice. Some sugared lemon juice hints.
After Taste: Hints of bright apple, but minimal. Strawberry dominate. Creamy, whipped notes come out. Long lingering strawberry juice.
On ice: Slightly thinner bodied, less sweet. Even more strawberry focused.

Additional Notes: Thornbury’s Wild Strawberry Lemonade Cider is more of a liquid strawberry shortcake cider, that isn’t really wild tasting, isn’t lemonade dominant, nor much apple cider notes within, but it is full of character. It is a very strawberry dominant experience from start to finish, tasting like freshly pressed strawberry juice. You do get some sugared lemon notes upfront too, but its not tart like many lemonades are. The apple cider base makes a short, mild appearance midway through, but it’s mostly strawberry. You get a creaminess, almost whipped cream note near the finish, to make it a shortcake-like cider. It has a long-lingering flavour profile, definitely on the sweeter side. Some may not know it is a cider unless told it was.
