Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Bright apples with a hint of funk.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Semi-strong, dry but bright apples, slightly tannic with peel notes. Clean.
After Taste: Apple cleans out pretty quickly, leaving a tiny bit of funky elements. Dry finish with some tonic-like elements.
On ice: Watered down flavour all around.
Additional Notes: The Thornbury Extra Dry is a light offering at 4% and only 110 calories,, that is bright, slightly tannic and very crushable. Easy to consume, it doesn’t have harsh elements found in the majority of extra dry offerings we’ve had. Its a short-lived cider, meaning most of the flavour is upfront with the aftertaste being clean and smooth, not sticking around very long. Not a lot of elements, but not needed. Waters down on ice significantly.
