Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Juicy and semi-sharp cherries with some acetic wine elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Semi-strong, slightly sweet but not sugary cherry. The apple is crisp and fleshy (dessert characteristics), with a little bit of wine elements.
After Taste: Apple and some of the cherry dissipate in an average length mouthfeel. More wine elements are present in the end.
On ice: Less carbonation, a bit sweeter and cleaner.
Additional Notes: The Perth Farmhouse’s Cherry Cider has quite the journey. Smelling different then it tastes (Slightly metallic and wine-like on the nose), it has a candied but not overly sweet cherry start that transitions through a clean apple middle with pulpy and flesh notes and ends on a wine finish. With a blend of cider, wine and cherry, it’s a full bodied offering that on-ice is a little sweeter and more candied.
