Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Funky black currant and apples. Dry with earthy notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite but punchy strong, dry black currant. Apples are tart, sour and funky with a bit of earthiness. Tartness grows a bit.
After Taste: Black current remains a long time with a bit more earthy finish. Some fermentation and saline notes at the end.
On ice: Slightly reduced body.
Additional Notes: The Black Currant by Swayne Creek is part of their initial four offerings. With a funky strong black currant smell, it has a light bite but strong flavour profile. A tartness than builds and funky apples blended with a black currant that gets drier and earthier in a longer aftertaste. Lots of bold elements here, as supported with the heritage and crab apple blend.
