Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Bright apples with crab and bittersweet notes
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Bright, semi-sweet apples with some tannic elements. Slightly sour/tart but very clean. Tannins and crab apple flavours.
After Taste: Apple dissipates and is slightly sweeter, but also has some pulp elements.  Lingers a long time, with a bit of film.
On ice: Slightly more astringent. A touch less flavour.

Additional Notes:  Celebrating a decade of operations, Spirit Tree Estate Cider – 10th Anniversary Estate Reserve Cider is a bright cider with bitter sharp elements, that is slightly sweeter than we thought it would be.  Decently clean for the style, this tannic and apple forward offering has a long lingering aftertaste. Apples are very rustic, bittersweet and gripping on the palate. Some crab and bittersharp hints in there too. We applaud Spirit Tree Estate as one of the original cider makers in Ontario, and their experience really shows in this soon to be classic.
