Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Funky, sour apple. Acidity.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Sour apples. Farmhouse funk. Tingy acidity. Dank apple. Beeswax.
After Taste: Apples become less sour and acidic and more farmhouse focused. Savoury herb notes. Ends most clean. Wild honey notes shine here.
On ice: Less carbonation. Less elements all around. Smoother.
Additional Notes: Sourwood’s Piquette is a lighter offering at 3% and while not too heavy of a cider in terms of taste or mouthfeel either, those flavours that do emerge are impactful. Dank, farmhouse notes and savoury herb hints make this a rather unique offering. Dank apple pulp and some sour apple notes are present but do not linger too long. The promised honey comes out in the finish and has a wild aspect to it.
