Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Tart lemon, some sweetness. Mild apple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Tart, zesty lemon that adds some acidity. Mild dessert apple base. Slight cracked black pepper elements that briefly appear.
After Taste: Lemon rind and juice here, becomes softer. Slightly herby from thyme. Lingering lemon elements.
On ice: Softer mouthfeel. Lemon weakened and not as tart.

Additional Notes:  Slabtown’s Lemon Pepper Thyme is a very lemon-driven experience the entire journey. Heavy on the zest, its tart and it becomes juicier as it goes on. The apple base is secondary, but has a familiar Slabtown taste to it, found in their other ciders. In the middle, you get a bit of earthiness and grit from cracked black pepper, but it doesn’t last long – might be working to enhance lemon elements more. A hint of herbiness in the finish from the thyme. Grows in intensity and body as you finish the bottle.
