Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Muddled apple and sweet pear. Earthy blueberry. Mild bitterness.
Initial Taste: No bite. Forward juicy dessert apples that are semi-sweet. Muddled blueberry that tastes semi-wild.
After Taste: Becomes more blueberry focused. Hint of earthiness and bitter notes. Lingering blueberry and apple notes. The tiniest bit of horseradish kick/spice at the very end.
On ice: Becomes smoother and more apple and blueberry focused.
Additional Notes: If you are hesitant to try the Blueberry Horseradish cider from Slabtown due to the horseradish, fear not, it does not define this cider. This is an apple forward cider with an earthy and slightly tart blueberry that builds. The horseradish slightly appears in the finish, with a mild kick/spice and earthy/herby notes, but it is nothing like the condiment you get with roast beef dinners. A smooth cider, with only a tiny bit of natural sweetness seemingly from the apples.
