Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Maple sugar candy. Burnt toffee. Dessert apple.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Dessert apple brightness. A hefty, thick maple syrupy and candy notes. Rich caramel. Whisky-like hints.
After Taste: Becomes a tangier cider. Maple stays strong and bold. Orange peel notes. Apples have a red varietal notes here. Lingering maple candy.
On ice: Slightly reduced flavour and mouthfeel but minimal.
Additional Notes: Shiny’s Old Fashioned Maple Cider is a sweet, dessert-oriented cider. Being more heavily maple flavoured, it has some mild elements of an old fashioned cocktail, such as orange and whisky notes, but leans more in the maple candy elements from start to finish. You get a rich syrup and maple candy flavour throughout, and the maple notes linger awhile. A sweeter choice. A familiar Shiny dessert apple base.
