Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Semi-tart, candied cherries. Sweet, pulpy apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Some acidity. Quick sweet apple that is very fleshy. Mostly dry cherry that is tangy and mildly tart.
After Taste: Cherry becomes slightly sweeter, very cherry blaster candy-like. Off dry finish.
On ice: Slightly less acidic. More cherry and less apple are noticeable.
Additional Notes: Shale Ridge’s Cherry Apple is one of their more dry options we’ve had from them. With a mostly dry cherry flavour, it is still candied and reminds us of cherry blasters. The mild sweetness in this seems to come from the apples, which are fleshy and bright. A lighter, very crisp and refreshing option. The cider seems to be more cherry-forward on ice.
