Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Rich blackberry, some sweetness. Hint of red-wine notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite. A hint of apple to start that is quickly taken over by a gritty, earthy blackberry. Thick body.
After Taste: Intensity increases and becomes more syrupy. Elements of dark red-wine show in the finish.
On ice: Thinner body but draws out the alcohol notes.
Additional Notes: The Bramble Bubbly by Sea Cider is part of their Canadian Invasion Series. It starts off with a hit of crisp apples that’s quickly overtaken by rich, juicy and earthy blackberry. Aftertaste has an even stronger, more wine-like finish that then dissipates becoming gritty (but no wine added). A bit of a syrupy mouthfeel and boozy feeling, especially at 9.9%. Lots of body in this.
