Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy, caramelized apples. Some baked notes. Soft pear-like elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Smooth, boozy apples that have some crisp elements upfront. Caramelized, baked apples with a touch of acidity. Uplifting and a touch sweet, but not sugary.
After Taste: Intensity builds a bit, with more peel notes coming though. More caramelized in the long-lasting aftertaste. Slightly bitter finish with a drier ending.
On ice: Thinner body, less caramel. Shorter profile.
Additional Notes: The Bittersweet by Sea Cider is a 7% cider that’s a part of their Heirloom Series. It offers a unique experience into the bittersweet category, with caramelized notes that linger a long time. Tannic elements with a drier finish, this has a strong French-inspired offering, but with a cleaner, crisper Canadian-inspired execution.
