Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Gritty and tannic apple with farmhouse notes. Dry and oaky.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Dry heritage apple. Semi-bright and semi-tannic peel notes. Woody barreling notes.
After Taste: Oak notes become more distinctive here. Apple becomes drier, and a bit dank with fermentation notes. Hints of vanilla. Dry apple tannins linger a bit.
On ice: Slightly watered down body and intensity of notes.

Additional Notes:  Saunders Cider’s limited release Oak N’Dagger is a dry, farmhouse offering that is their driest offering yet. With some barreling notes throughout, they evolve, and become more oak-focused in the finish. Apple is heritage-tasting-focused, dry, and a bit tannic. Balanced acidity and with farmhouse essences with a bit of funk/dankness to it. Tastes like you’re drinking out of a wooden cup if you can imagine it.
