Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright, pulpy apples, some acidity.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Bittersharp apples, some juicy elements. Semi-tannic with a very clean feel
After Taste: Becomes a bit more tannic and peel focused in the long-lingering aftertaste. Hints of natural sweetness with some fermentation and earthy elements in the end.
On ice: Body and acidity cut.
Additional Notes: This single varietal by Sage Bird features the little known (for us Canadians) Black Twig apple variety. A bit smoother than many other single varieties, it’s still very dry with a semi-strong bittersharp base. Slightly tannic that becomes a bit more peel focused in a long lingering aftertaste. Lovely Heirloom apples, it has a hint of earth in the finish.
