Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Creamy and sweet apple with hits of mustiness.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity and some carbonation. Quick, semi-sour and dry apple that is unlike the smell. Some tartness that is similar to what found in an apple peel.
After Taste: Some elements of lemon appear. Long lingering and becomes more astringent and acidic. Lemon peel notes is the last flavour that remains. Quite dry.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and slightly less flavour. Not as dry in the end.
Additional Notes: A Spanish style sidra with a Revel base, the Estrella has as blend of sweet and sour apples – with significant tannins, that finishes quite dry. Smooth base, acidic elements and an overall deeply flavourful cider. This has a bit more of a kick to it than Spanish-produced sidra’s we have tried in Spain but a little less dry than many. The Estrella is more apple forward than some others from the brand.
