Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Mild aroma. Bittersweet and bright apple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity. Clean, bittersweet apple that’s bright and uplifting. Tingly mouthfeel with some tannins. Honey and lemon-like notes.
After Taste: Apple elements become smoother but apple flavours remain mostly the same. Clean, light finish. Some lingering mild tannins.
On ice: Slightly thinner mouthfeel but the flavour doesn’t change much.

Additional Notes:  Revel’s Chisel Jersey cider is a single varietal pet-nat made with this bittersweet cider varietal that originated in Somerset, England over 2 centuries ago. A very bright, uplifting and generally clean cider. This has unique apple flavours, including honey and lemon-like notes. Some tannins, they add layers but not too much grit for the palate. Ends drier than it starts but balanced overall. Some acidity and fermentation notes to add depth, but overall a lighter, breezier cider using some seriously rare apples. Has a tingly mouthfeel, adds to the overall experience. A simpler cider for Revel’s portfolio but still has their authenticity and quality.
