Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Creamy and semi-bright apple. Some white wine elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Semi-bright apples that are crisp, a little tannic with a touch of acidity. Slight earthy notes.
After Taste: Fermentation notes show a bit more in the aftertaste. Slightly more bitter, and salline notes in the finish.
On ice: Slightly less flavourful.
Additional Notes: Palatine Hills Estate Winery offers a bright, crisp and dry cider. With lots of white-wine like elements (maybe a similar yeast strand to their white wines), it’s dry but very crisp. Some earthy elements, the fermentation is noticeable in the end but not overpowering. Not much sweetness in this one, but also not bone dry.
