Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Fleshy apple with a balanced tart cherry.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Starts with a semi-bright apple with a touch of acidity; balanced with a tart natural cherry and a bit of earthiness.
After Taste: Cherry becomes more prominent in the aftertaste. Somewhat long lingering, its drier and a bit more earthy in the aftertaste.
On ice: Reduced the cherry and overall flavour.
Additional Notes: Niagara Cider’s Sun Cherry is a balanced offering, with some dry and tart red cherry and a semi-bright apple base. A bit of funk and earthiness, it’s a bit acidic with some minerality. A little bit of saline, it lands much more on the craft then the commercial side. Its not medical or artificial/candied – showcases a premiere fruit (cherry) of the Niagara Region well.
