Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium-strong fleshy and musty desert apples. Some acidity.
Initial Taste: Slight bite from carbonation quickly – followed by some acidity and sweet desert apples. Mild hops flavour.
After Taste: Smooth apples slightly give way to some hops in the aftertaste (that are mainly found in the back of the mouth.) Clean apple with some candied elements.
On ice: Carbonation is reduced, becomes slightly more astringent and hopped.
Additional Notes: A bright and clean cider, the Malus Hopped is an easy-to-drink offering – with a slight hoppy finish. It is semi-sweet but not sugary. It’s a smoother/milder hop experience than most other hopped ciders and most beers, so it may be a nice alternative if you aren’t particularly a hops fan.
