Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Caramelization enhanced by maple. Pulpy apple. Some boozy elements.
Initial Taste: No bite. Extra smooth, thick apple.  Quite sweet with a smooth but a strong maple presence. No harsh or bitter notes in the slightly pulpy apple base.
After Taste: As apple reduces, the boozy elements are stronger.  Maple finish is quite noticeable with a sugared, thick mouthfeel.
On ice: Cleaner and lighter. More cider-like with reduced booze elements.

Additional Notes:  The Maple version of the Loch Mór Cider’s legendary Barrel-Aged Pommeau adds a twist to the original offering that has a thick sweet apple upfront with almost zero harsh notes. The noticeable differences are the candied maple, which slightly masks some of the elements you may find in the original, making it have a cleaner mouthfeel overall.  There is a strong candy-like finish, as if you had a traditional maple candy found across most of Canada.
