Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Juicy blueberry. Some astringency.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Quick plump and heavy wild blueberry flavours. Blueberry is tart, and slightly bitter. Concord hints.
After Taste: Light base comes through, but still very blueberry focused. Long lingering berry notes. Natural sugars and fruit tartness linger.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and flavour. Thins out the blueberry mouthfeel.
Additional Notes: Little Cider Company’s Harrow Blue is a bold blueberry cider that tastes heavy and wild in nature (Less sweet, more gritty). Almost a blueberry syrup base, it dominates the palate, with only a bit of the apple base near the finish to remind you its not a blueberry-only juice. A heavier mouthfeel, if its too heavy for you, it thins on ice. A touch of Concord/wine-like elements in the finish.
