Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Dessert apple. Hints of fresh pineapple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity, mild carbonation. A bright, semi-candied pineapple. Fleshy, sharp apple. A slightly heavier body.
After Taste: Becomes more pineapple focused. Some natural pineapple acids obvious here. Lingering pineapple enzymes in the otherwise clean finish.
On ice: Reduced body. Pineapple is less forward and sharp, some acids/enzymes reduced too.
Additional Notes: Lacroix’s Ananas/Pineapple cider is a bright, candied experience heavy on the promised adjunct. The pineapple is candied, and it grows a bit throughout the drinking experience. You also get some of the natural pineapple acids and enzymes that stay on the palate for a while. The dessert apples are fleshy and semi-sharp, but are secondary to the pineapple.
