Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Semi-crisp apple, balanced floral notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Semi-sharp and bright apple that becomes duller quickly as rosé elements enter.  Dry and dank with heavy boozy elements in the fermentation process.
After Taste: Rose elements (tannic, red apple peel) dissipate a bit, with wild and semi-funky apples becoming present again.  Long lingering and sandpaper-like dryness in the finish – probbaly from dolgo crabapples.
On ice: Dramatically less carbonated and less funky.

Additional Notes:  La Cidrerie d’un Hectare – Rosebud (Cidre Rosé Brut) is a pretty intense offering that’s more apple forward, semi-funky and heavy on the booze feel.  Very dry and drier as the bottle goes on, the rosé elements are not floral or have elements from other fruits in it. – just from the red apples (including Geneva). On ice cuts a lot of the vibe. Lots of red skin apples in this one. Don’t expect anything sweet.
