Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Light earthy honey. Sharp apple base.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Quick, thick, forward honey. Sweeter from honey. Sharp but soft apple. Floral essences.
After Taste: Honey becomes a bit earthier, a bit dank too. Honey becomes thinner in the mouth but lingerie a bit.
On ice: Flavour similar, but a much shorter flavour profile overall.
Additional Notes: Hex 1847’s Honey Cider is a 7% infused cider that certainly lets you know there was a bunch of honey added. Not only do you get a natural honey upfront very quickly, the honey also has a thicker mouthfeel like it does on its own.The apples are soft, and we believe of “sharper” varieties. Honey becomes a bit earthier, and “danker” in the finish, and it lingers a while on the palate – longer than the apples do. A honey-driven experience, from start to finish.
