Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Crisp, fleshy apples and a bit pulpy. Bright.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. A semi-crisp, slightly acidic apple base that’s pulpy and semi-juicy. Heavy sharp apple characteristics that are clean and bright.
After Taste: Becomes a smoother apple base as acidity dwindles. Medium length finish, hint of fermentation that is apparent.
On ice: Becomes drier, less apple forward.
Additional Notes: Heeman’s New Traditions is an “ode to traditional cidermaking with a modern twist” as per their website. Semi-acidic sharp apples define this as a cider, making for a bright and clean experience overall. A very fleshy apple cider experience overall. It varies greatly in taste from previous versions of this cider.
