Smell: Light aroma. Bright, pulpy apples, some sweetness. Floral undertones.
Initial Taste: No bite. Soft but bright apples. Mild tannin, little acidity. Some natural apple sweetness.
After Taste: Apples dissipate, leaving floral and other fruit characteristics. Mild banana and starfruit-like notes emerge here and linger a bit (likely yeast esters).
On ice: Body thins a bit. A softer drinking experience overall.
Additional Notes: Heeman’s Century Cider is named so as its made with 3 North American apple varieties that have been cultivated for over 100 years now – Golden Russet, Snow Tolman Sweet and Rhode Island Greening. A softer cider experience (flavour and mouthfeel), it has a slight natural sweetness to it, as well low tannin and acidity. It has unique floral and banana + starfruit-like notes – quite possibly the yeast esters.
