Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Pulpy apple. Fermentation notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Medium acidity, followed by thin bodied apples, pulpy and fleshy. Some red varietal notes. Fermentation notes. Hints of sulphur. Pear notes.
After Taste: Becomes a softer apple profile and body that fades out quickly. Mild apple flesh notes linger.
On ice: Loses body and flavour. Cleaner – less fermentation notes.
Additional Notes: If you’re looking for a sessionable cider, Farmgate has a “cousin” cider to their original 3 Bros – Too Many Cousins. Less sweet and lower alcohol, this also has a thinner body and is less crisp than its related cider. It’s easy to drink, with pulpy and fleshy apple notes, but definitely tastes fermented and a bit funky. Minimal sweetness indeed. Easy to drink, might pair well with savoury food based on the body and sweetness alone.
