Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet pulpy apple with some maple candy notes
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Crisp, tangy apple that’s light and smooth with some supporting toasted maple sap flavour. Delicate/soft blend of apples but it’s still rather juicy.
After Taste: Apple reduced, becomes more candied. Remains sweet but not sugary. Semi-long lingering smooth apple taste. A faint maple candy taste that stays awhile.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and flavour, removes much of the characteristic of the cider
Additional Notes: Farmgate’s Sugar Bush is a maple-infused cider made with locally harvested product. Sweet, crisp and tangy apples with some toasted maple syrup flavours. It’s easy to consume, and does not taste like 7%. One of Farm Gates’ sweeter ciders, naturally so and still far from ‘sugary’. A middle of the road cider that’s sessionable and satisfying for something bright.
