Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Dank, acetic pear thats also bright. Mild sweet elements peak through.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Brisk bright pear with tannic and acidic notes. Peel and natural sweet aspects. Extra clean mouthfeel.
After Taste: Becomes more dank and drier in the aftertaste. Pear is more flesh-based here. Lingering pear and alcoholic notes.
On ice: Cuts flavour and thins out the entire taste and mouthfeel.
Additional Notes: The Pearfectly Peared offering by Ernest Cider Co is a unique pear offering. With very little sweetness (no sugar added, only natural sugars (contains sorbitol—an unfermented sugar as per their website), it is strong in crisp pear flavour. Slightly acetic, its bright and extra clean (only a little dankness in the aftertaste). Juicy, with peel and flesh aspects at different points. Reduced in all elements when on ice.
