Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy apple. Light cinnamon and other spices.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation. Semi-crisp juicy dessert apples, pulpy. Light cinnamon and mild clove. Slightly woody/earthy. Citrus notes.
After Taste: Cinnamon becomes a bit more pronounced. Vanilla emerges. Apples become softer, less juicy. Elements linger a bit but not strongly.
On ice: Spices slightly reduced. Apples remain mostly the same taste and mouthfeel.
Additional Notes: Ernest’s Mulled Cider is a more balanced, milder interpretation of this historical style. You are greeted with semi-crisp & juicy apples that are most certainly culinary dominant. The spices are there, but not prominent or forceful – more a light infusion, with cinnamon being the most obvious. Some light citrus, vanilla and woody aspects round out the notes. A softer mouthfeel and doesn’t really taste alcoholic at all – it’s a lighter to consume option, even at 6.5%.
