Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Tart, gritty berry including raspberry and blueberry notes. Hints of natural sweetness.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Semi-tart, earthy mix of berries. Blueberry and black currant notes.
After Taste: Apple notes emerge here, mostly red dessert notes. Berries become more blackberry and raspberry flavoured. Hints of concord grape.
On ice: Thinner body. Less intensity for berries.
Additional Notes: Ernest’s Huckleberry is a unique and boldly flavoured cider with a lesser-known berry. This has a pleasant medley of berry notes – you get blueberry, black currant, blackberry and raspberry at various points in the journey. It’s a very berry-driven cider, with the apples being secondary and mainly red variety dessert styles. A bit earthy, gritty and tart – and very juicy overall. Drink on ice if the body is too thick/heavy/tart for you. A long lingering berry presence.
