Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Dank cherry, Hint of sugaring. Minimal apple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Dank, dark cherries. Semi-earthy apples. Some sourness.
After Taste: Cherries become a bit brighter. Candy, sugar-elements there. Apples are also brighter, more fleshy. Candy-like finish but also a bit of fermentation notes.
On ice: Thinner body. Reduced flavour. A bit less sour.
Additional Notes: East Street’s Sour Cherry Cider is a fun seasonal release that comes out around Halloween every year. Featuring a dank cherry at first, it’s semi-sour but not puckering, and it becomes a bit brighter in the finish. The apples are there but it is more cherry focused. It becomes a bit more like the sour cherry candies it is made with in the finish, with some faint candied sugar notes; but it does end on a taste like you just ate the candies. Some fermentation elements, it definitely is a boozy treat and not a trick. Made with candies, but not too sweet.
