Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Tart currant with some floral elements. Hints of crisp apples.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Smooth and clean black currant that’s upbeat + fresh. Apples are crisp and smooth but also extra clean.
After Taste: Black currant dissipates slowly. Finishing with a semi-long lasting slightly caramelized and crisp apple.
On ice: Overall flavour and intensity is reduced.
Additional Notes: Duxbury Cider Co’s Black Currant is a fresh and fruit forward offering, presumably inspired by the cider and black currant cocktails from the UK. It’s juicy and upbeat, lots of clean, but balanced flavours both from the currants and also the apples. A bit of acidity and minimal fermentation elements here, but still has a bit of that booziness to it. Slight caramelization with a balanced sourness.
