Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy apple. Some acidic and juicy elements upfront, with a woody, boozy finish.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation.  Leads with boozy barreling notes that are quickly followed by a pulpy, sharp, juicy apple, dessert-focused but semi- crisp. Much like it smells, it has a few elements present.
After Taste: Apple dissipates quite quickly, leaving a fermentation finish with some barreling notes.  Dry and sand-paper like sensation in mouth.
On ice: Thinner and less carbonated but overall experience similar.

Additional Notes:  Domaine Heritage’s Terrior is based on the land the apples are grown on, in this case, commonly found varieties Macintosh, Logo and Cortland in Montérégie region.  This barrel-aged offering has a strong woody start, a creamy apple middle and a dry, fermentation and funk finish.  A lot going on, though not an overly long journey.  7% and could feel like a bit more.  Some natural sweetness from the apple varieties used.
