Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Fresh, sweet and pulpy natural apple juice smell.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Quickly semi-tart apples with slight acidity and punchy apple. Some astringency.
After Taste: Remains slightly tart with some dryness. Mild hints of sweetness. Long lingering flavour.
On ice: Carbonation reduced with a slight reduction in acidity.
Additional Notes: The Nation’Spiked (Dry) by Domaine Cléroux is a decently dry, semi-tart cider that is extra clean (no fermentation or other elements to impact the taste). It’s one of the most “apple-forward” ciders we have had. It would be hard to find a non-alcoholic cider that has this much apple flavour and punch – the underlying astringency enhances the natural fruit notes. Incredibly crisp.
